Virgin Voyages is a cruise line that offers a unique and exciting experience for adult travelers. When I first heard about Richard Branson’s cruise concept, I immediately thought that it was going to be geared to the young professional crowd. I am in my sixties and after sailing on several Virgin Voyages itineraries, I found that it accommodates adults of all ages! Hands down, my sailings on both the Scarlet Lady and Valiant Lady were some of the best times I have ever had!
Here are a few of the things that Virgin Voyages has to offer:
- Adult-Only Cruises: Virgin Voyages is an adult-only cruise line, which means that you can enjoy a more relaxed and adult-oriented atmosphere without any children around. For me, this is an absolute PLUS!
- Fitness Facilities: Virgin Voyages has state-of-the-art fitness facilities, including a fully equipped gym and fitness classes such as yoga (great for a yogi like me), Pilates, and spin.
- Wellness Program: They offer a wellness program that includes healthy dining options, spa services, and mindfulness activities. I did enjoy my daily healthy drink shot at the Dock!
- Entertainment: Virgin Voyages offers a variety of entertainment options, including live music, comedy shows, and immersive theater performances. Bingo with the Diva, Never Sleep Alone, Miss Behave Game Show (funniest comedy show I have ever seen) and Dual Reality are just a few of my favorites. Of course, Scarlet Night is one heck of a ship wide party!
- Culinary Experiences: The cruise line offers a variety of dining options, including a mix of casual and fine dining restaurants, and specialty dining experiences. I can honestly say that every meal that I had in any one of the restaurants was spectacular! From amazing Italian food in Extra Virgin, to the fresh Seafood Plateau in Wake and Brunch in Razzle Dazzle, you will never go away hungry or dissatisfied. Late night made to order pizza at the Pizza Place came in handy many a time!
- Destinations: Virgin Voyages offers a range of itineraries that include destinations around the world, giving you the opportunity to explore new places and cultures. These are not your typical “stock tour” shore excursions. Virgin Voyages Shore Things are carefully thought out to provide an insight into the local culture and discovery.
Overall, Virgin Voyages offers a unique and exciting cruise experience. It offers boutique glamour and “relaxed Luxe” that provides a wonderland to a wide range of interests and adult age groups. This is a must for your bucket list!
